It's Derby Time

Rylan had his pinewood derby race for Cub Scouts and we are happy to say that he took a proud third place.

Rylan picked his design and color scheme and helped good ol' Dad put it all together. I'm pretty sure Spencer enjoys pinewood derby time as much as any of the cubs do. I hope he enjoys it just as much when he has to build three at once!

Way to be awesome Jake! We think you did great!

That's a pretty, pretty car - even if it is green and yellow!! Congrads to you (and Dad!)! We still have Aaron's pinewood derby car (I think!!!) in one of the boxes! What a fun time!

Hey hey now. It's blue and yellow... cub scout colors. With orange accents like in the flame. Rylan was VERY specific about what he wanted and why. But hey... what's wrong with green and yellow?!?!?!

Definitely blue and yellow. As in Go Navy, Beat Army, right, Spencer?
Oh how we wish Uncle Spencer lived closer. Pinewood Derby is NOT our favorite cub scout event. Peter learned several derbies ago that he is not so much into all the sanding and that's when I became a big fan of spray paint. All done!Until rocket derby. I-yie-yie. (How do you spell THAT?) Anyway, Rylan, you make us all proud! Way to go on a great-looking and speedy car!
